Introduction to three case studies of farmer-led research Abstract: The future of agriculture in the UK will be strongly influenced by its ability to grow in competitiveness. A continuous increase in the efficiency of agricultural production (productivity) will be needed to be competitive, and the main driver for this is innovation and its translation into new technology.
