Agriculture is the only industry able to sequester the carbon it emits, plus emissions from other industries too.
This puts farmers in a unique position as stewards of our landscape, but the actions taken on farms must make sense from a business perspective too.
We are thrilled to unveil the Farm of the Future guide to action for farmers. This guide summarises practical actions to reduce emissions and sequester carbon, while also improving efficiency, resilience and profitability of farm businesses.
The guide is based on the Farm of the Future report, and includes QR codes to more detail in the original report and associated sector papers.
In the guide, the actions are grouped into three sections: actions that can be taken immediately, those that require some planning and long-term options to consider.
The guide was produced by Innovation for Agriculture on behalf of the Royal Agricultural Society of England, with funding gratefully received from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
We welcome any feedback on the new guide. Please get in touch via info@i4agri.org to share your thoughts.
